Panther Fan Role Call

San Diego (Oceanside to be specific).

Best game I've witnessed was when Rosario Dawson caught the zero second TD from Jake to beat the Chargers. Qualcomm went from frenzied excitement to pure silence in a split second. It was beautiful.

I hope you're intentionally quoting the sportscasters who misquoted his name...

Statesville, NC. 50 miles up I-77 from the SC line north of Charlotte. I grew up a Bills fan in Buffalo, from their start in 1959 but was so disappointed when I moved to SC then NC, no pro teams. Was into the early Hornets until they were hijacked. My first memory of the "Panthers" was when I asked my 2 children if they would be willing to give up a few pizzas a month so we could afford to buy PSL's before JR was awarded the franchise (single mom here). We all agreed, yes! And so our names are on one of the Panther statues at the south entrance and I've had the pleasure to once again follow a local team from their beginning.

I live in Troy, NC. I grew up in Wash. D.C. But I was a Colts fan from 1962 until they snuck out in the cover of night. I quit being a fan at that moment. Never pulled for another team. In 1994 I moved here and the Panthers became an expansion team and was no longer an NFL Fan Orphan. Now, I'm a PSL owner and this year thanks to the Riot I will be making 3 away games as well. I would tell you my favorite memory but I have Halfheimers and CRS syndrome. I do remember screaming at Jake during the Super Bowl.

im originally from brazil but have lived in cary north carolina for 16 years. i remember watching the superbowl but i was really young and didnt really follow football cuz my parents and no one in my family does. But cams first game vs the cardinals is probably my first special memory. even though we lost throwing for over 400 yards his first game then doing it again the next week vs GB was pretty awesome and memorable.

I am from and live in Augusta, GA. I have been a Panthers fan since the team was announced in 1993. I always liked the city of Charlotte because of going there for car shows and NASCAR races. So, when I heard an NFL team was coming, I was instantly a fan.

My special memory was when I got to attend my first game in 1997. We played the 49ers on Monday night. We lost that game, but it was exciting to be in the stadium and take in all the sights and sounds.

There have been several special times since then, but that was the first.

I only get to go to one or two games a season, but I am still always excited to see the Cats in person.

I am originally from Massillon, Ohio and grew up a Browns fan.  I now live in Dallas, NC.  My wife has slowly converted me to a Panthers fan over the years.

My first memory was a few years ago when we were at a bar in Northlake about to watch a preseason game with our Panther jerseys on.  The waitress came over and gave us two tickets for the game and said they were from a couple across the bar and that they thought we would enjoy the game and they couldn't make it for some reason.  We bought their drinks and walked over and thanked them before running to the car to hurry off to the game.

My wife decided this summer we should go to a Panther's practice a few weeks ago.  It was so awesome. I love watching the different drills that they did.   I went back about 4 times and may need to take a day off next week to go to another.  I took my step-son one day and he was chosen to go out on the field with some of the players and play catch and get autographs.  I think I was more excited than he was.  We got autographs from several of the guys, talked to some of the former Ohio State players and surprised Luke that I knew where he played high school ball.

Can't wait for the season to start.  I'm hooked!!!
