Upcoming Cuts - Trades Possible ?

My first instinct was, "Trades? No way we trade".  But then I remembered that just last year we traded Kenjon Barner to Philly for conditional picks.  It didn't work out since Philly cut him, but it allowed us to free up 53 man spots with some potential compensation in return.  Maybe he does the same this year with some bubble RB's or WR's?

I'll give it a 50-50. I would bet that this time of year there is always someone who is spying a possible trade as our rosters develop behind the scenes.  Why drop a player that shows promise if you can get another player with promise or a late round pick?

Of course I may be seeing thing through Panther-colored glasses, but I don't believe that we'll just cut guys like Klein or Glanton without giving a trade an attempt.  And with Gman's connection to the Giants, and an apparent proclivity towards acquiring smart guys in later rounds that Billy B. apparently seems to appreciate, the chance that we trade one of these guys may even be likely.

Given the importance of the qb position, having a decent backup is important.  We don't really want to part with him, but probably would for the right price.  However, I think the teams that might want Anderson wouldn't be willing to meet our asking price.

what would you take?  I'd ask for a 2nd, and I don't think many teams would give that up.  QBs are just hard to find.

I could definitely see us adding some OT depth.  Not sure about trade, but more like picking up someone as other teams trim down their rosters.  Any depth chart that features Nate Chandler on the two deep scares the hell out of me.  Everyone bashes Byron Bell and for good reason, but it seems like most have forgotten that Chandler was even worse.
