I'll forever love Boston for that pick 6 in the Atlanta game, but I was never as high on him as most.  I don't know, going back and watching the games he just wasn't that impressive to me... it was mostly Josh and Bene and the front 4 starting to wreak havoc again.

Hoping for Boston/Coleman starting safeties, but expecting Harper/Coleman with Harper to be replaced halfway through the season after struggling mightily and Boston immediately offering a significant upgrade.  Sound familiar?

lol Boston didnt replace Harper. Played two totally different positions. Remember when the whole team played like crap durring the first half of the season, and then we got our poo together? Same could be said about Harper. He had the most INTs on the team and played well down the stretch. Rivera isnt a retard.

I didn't intend to suggest that Boston replaced Harper or that Rivera is a retard, but thank for trying to put words in my mouth.  I was just alluding to the fact that our current staff has a history of sticking with a struggling vet and then all of a sudden when they make a change the replacement performs much better than the struggling vet did.

Sounds like camp reports are that Harper has been working a lot at FS with Coleman at SS, so if Harper struggles this year, it would be Boston replacing Harper.

i didnt say you said rivera is a retard. Lol. We cool. But name another instance where we stuck with a struggling vet?  Cason?  Bene was hurt and was simply not ready. Avant? Philly was a fresh undrafted rookie. Simply not ready. Dont wana take the pie out of the oven when its still raw.

I'm so glad you said that.. Way too many people have said Rivera doesnt want to play the young guys, when in fact, we play more young guys than most teams.  People just expect the young guys to be ready right away, or they want someone replaced without looking at the circumstances of the other options.

When Rivera did put in the young guys last season, we weren't out of contention for the playoffs...Im sure a lot of other coaches around the league would not be willing to do that.  We had a TON of rookies out on the field at the same time.

Its tre's job to loose at FS IMO.  He played very well under the circumstances last year.  No reason to think he would get worse.

God I hope Harper isn't on the field when Coleman becomes our starting SS. It should be him and Boston in the backfield. But you never know with Ron.

Like someone else here said I'm hoping for a boston/Coleman combo but the coaching staff loves Harper too much so it'll probably be Harper/Coleman. I haven't heard much from Boston this camp so when they started rolling with the Harper/Coleman combo I was a little surprised
