D. Newton thinks Byrd headed to PS, but I hope not...in a way.

Im guessing people dont understand how the wavier works. Byrd will have to pass through every team before he can be put on the PS. Thats just not going to happen with his skills.

and the very same thing.could be said about other UDFA WRs such as Lucky Whitehead,Tyrell Williams,Jordan Taylor,etc...

i personally believe Byrd would clear waivers

They've gotta keep him on the 53.  I'd say he would easily make it, but a couple of Rivera's favorites are ahead of him, so I doubt he makes it ahead of them.  Our biggest hope is for us to keep 6 or 7 receivers.

All I know is, we have to keep him on the 53 or someone is going to poach him from the PS.   There is no way well be able to keep him on the PS...   He's already made too much noise in camp, I expect him to make plays in the preseason, and you better believe other team's scouts have already caught wind of it.

You ever hear of this short fast dude they call Steve Smith? I hear he's pretty good.

Yeah, he is.  He's really good.  Say, did he get drafted?  Yeah he did.  Hmmm.  Say, did you just compare a guy with a chip on his shoulder and picked to be a punt returner his first year.  To a guy that's Undrafted?  Yeah, you did.  Yeah.

Just because he didn't get drafted don't mean a damn thing. Just because some is good in college doesn't mean they will be good in the NFL and some that's not that good in college could be great on the NFL level. Carolina could have found a a star. You never know
