New Job Advice

I haven't responded to the offer sheet yet, I received it a few hours ago.  As it stands right now I think I'm going to reject it because I can't afford to take this big of a step back financially.  I might ask for more money but I'm not even sure it's worth it...

If you are "just hanging on" with your job now, how is it not worth it to ask for more money.

Just be very matter of fact about it.  I like your company, I like the career path your company offers, but I can't work for that type of money.  Thank you for the offer, but if we can't get to $X then I will have to say thank you, but no thanks.

Personally, I would just start looking harder at other jobs.

I rejected their offer this morning because of the pay.  They quickly got back to me and said "We will get back to you this afternoon" so they might be coming up.  But I agree, I can do better.  But sometimes you switch jobs and another job pops up right after.  I have no loyalty to the new company so...who knows what could happen.

1500 dollar deductible with obama care aint that bad. Want to talk crappy insurance..... my deductible is 6500 bucks. It's a complete joke.  I wouldn't leave for better insurance and less money. Keep looking for a better all around fit for yourself.
