nearly creamed my pants this morning when i saw that FS2 was showing bundesliga games. I had no idea

It is great is it not?  FS1 and FS2 are both supposed to show 60 or so games this season.  If you get Fox Soccer Plus they will also have games, although some will not be live.  Currently have Leverkusen/Hoffenheim on the TV and Werder Bremen/Schalke on my phone

DFB Pokal Round II Draw (games will be played October 27-28)

Viktoria Köln (IV) v. Bayer Leverkusen
Erzgebirge Aue (III) v. Eintracht Frankfurt
SpVgg Unterhaching (IV) v. RB Leipzig (II)
Carl Zeiss Jena (IV) v. VfB Stuttgart
SSV Reutlingen (IV) v. Eintracht Braunschweig (II)
Schalke 04 v. Borussia Monchengladbach
SV Sandhausen (II) v. 1. FC Heidenheim (II)
Borussia Dortmund v. SC Paderborn (II)
FSV Frankfurt (II) v. Hertha Berlin
Mainz 05 v. 1860 Munich (II)
1. FC Nürnberg (II) v. Fortuna Düsseldorf (II)
SV Darmstadt v. Hannover 96
SC Freiburg (II) v. FC Augsburg
VfL Bochum (II) v. 1. FC Kaiserslautern (II)
Werder Bremen v. 1. FC Köln
VfL Wolfsburg v. Bayern München

This draw highlights two problems I have with the way this tournament is structured.  First, I believe that when the two opponents are on different levels the lower level team should be playing at home.  Paderborn and 1860 Munich should not be traveling to Dortmund and Mainz.

The other more important mistake that they make is that I feel all first division teams should be in Pot 2.  Yes Bayern/Wolfsburg and Schalke/Monchengladbach should prove to be exciting matches, but they should not be happening this early.    The top two teams from the previous season face while while the third finishing team travels to the sixth finishing team?  Seems silly to me

Got to watch Schalke play over the weekend. Their counter-attack is pretty lethal. They are exciting to watch. Bremen was lackluster. Johannsson was poor.

Definitely disappointing start for Bremen.

Dortmund looked excellent, much better than whatever was wrong with them last year

I'm glad FS2 is showing Bundesliga matches, but in 2015, it's a little jarring to watch sports in standard definition. I hope they show more matches on FS1. I did catch Bayern Leverkusen/Hoffenheim on Fox Sports Carolinas (40).  I hadn't seen a Bundesliga game since the "Soccer Made In Germany" days, so that was cool.

There are about sixty games on both FS1 and FS2 that will be live.  Fox Soccer Plus will also have gamse, both live and on tape delay.  All games are available on computers/tablets/phones via Fox Soccer 2 Go if you choose to purchase that package

    • I think a lot of wrs are going to go in the second round before we pick.  There are a lot of wr needy teams.  I think there will be a big run on them in the late 30s and 40s.
    • Interesting that they met with Walker three times and Cam Jackson twice.
