what's the maddest you've ever been as a panthers fan?

I was deeply disappointed by all that have been mentioned, especially the 2005 Dallas game, it ruined Christmas. But when our guys are playing the best they can with their hearts on the line, I can’t complain. There was one game where I was truly angry at our defense & I don’t get angry very often.

2007, Colts in town. Testaverde had given us a chance before he came out. 3rd qtr, Colts ball on the 1 yard line. The world knew Manning would give it to Addai to run it in for the td.  The stadium was ¾ empty, only a handful of fans in my section. 11 rows up from the field, then halfway from the sideline to the action, I could see it all. I’m yelling, “Fight! Don’t go backwards! Fight! Fight!” over & over. Everyone knew the Colts would score; but damn, it shouldn’t be easy. Manning snaps the ball, gives it to Addia. Our entire d-line proceeds to, as one, take 2 steps backwards & Addai scores standing up. Standing up! I was livid! So I shouted, “How does it feel to know that you just played the worst football ever?” Chris Harris (not in on the play) was on the sideline right in front of me & he heard what I had shouted. I know because of the shocked look on his face as he turned to look at me.  I was so angry that if I had been John Fox, that d-line would’ve been benched for the rest of the game.

Also, I’m still pissed at Kerry Collins. Very pissed.

Same year, sgainst the Bills 32nd ranked run d, after letting up 200+ rushjng yards the week previous...

We go in throwing with a washed up Delhomme.

The first time I was actually livid as a Panthers fan.

i remember that one and remember taunting the bills trolls who showed up here before the game about how double trouble was going to cornhole them.  i think jake had more than 40 pass attempts and threw 3 interceptions before it was all said and done.

a double digit loss at home to the bills quarterbacked by ryan fitzpatrick.  what a joke.

DirectTV went out 1 hour before the Baltimore game last year and I had to listen to the game on the radio....Mixon !@#$ you.

I actually enjoy listening to the radio crew but it's not Mixon. It's Robinson. He's classic, honest, and can be funny as hell.

two of my angriest moments were the drew carter mugging on saturday night football in 2007 and cowboys game in 2009 when a deep muhsin muhammed touchdown was called back for offensive pass interference. i almost fuging destroyed the bar on that one.

the 2009 game sucked too.  of course in classic fashion we held our own against an allegedly far superior opponent until the fourth quarter and a delhomme pick six.

Yes. This game was bullsht too. It's like everyone knew that was Smitty's game and the Panthers let him have it. 2 fluke BS plays to inflate his stats didn't help with that either. Everyone thought he was prime Smitty all over again for 2 bogus plays.

yeah, I usually don't complain about things like this, and you would think that after over 10 years of Mixon, I'd be used to him by now...

Jakes playoff game against the Cards. I was so mad that I got mad at my friend for buying me a bad beer then got into a argument with some so-called Panther fans singing the steelers fight song as they walked by my seat. I told them to either pick a team or go back to PA. I was so mad and it was raining on my head to top it off.

This game, definitely! I was really immature about it. My wife still references that night. The problem was that I hadn't really considered that we might lose the game.

    • There's some big assumptions in here - first, I think Canales HAS helped Bryce a poo ton. To pretend he hasn't is asinine. Has he fixed him?  I mean, the dude looks like he could perhaps be a backup or low-end starter now, whereas he looked like he didn't belong in the NFL a year ago. You're talking about a coach that brought one of the worst NFL QBs of all time to a point where he may actually be a low-end starter. That IS impressive. Second, the bolded. Come on - given the offense, the dude is far from "trending towards bust." He definitely needs work but he's shown an impressive ability to get open. He's contributing to an anemic offense. The dude is our leading receiver (though he'll be #2 in yardage by end of season by a little, as Thielen does better per game).  As to his coaching, he had this team competing and believing against 3 of the better teams in the NFL, despite the lack of talent, and despite our QB situation.  Yes, things fell apart vs DAL, and he was outcoached. But that will happen with young coaches IMO.  I don't think it indicates he cant' be better. The idea of "pulling off the bandage" is ridiculous. Who would want to coach here if we fired this guy after one season?
    • Whatever they are in totality the cowboys are beat up all to hell on both sides of the ball and even that was too much for lil Bryce to overcome.  Bryce defenders have to hype up every other team and trash every other part of the panthers just because of the situation they’ve put themselves in.
    • JB had a first round grade in the eyes of a lot scouts based on HIS TALENT LEVEL. If not for the injury he would have gone higher in the draft, possibly between the middle and the end of round 1. To get him just before the 50th pick is a steal. He'd be on a 4 year deal. You can't even renegotiate until the end of the season 3. You're basically paying him nothing for 3 seasons. I don't buy into all back are interchangeable. No they're not. You have average backs, good backs, then your great-exceptional backs. The latter category doesn't grow on trees. If a back is special it pays to keep them. The key is knowing the difference between the first two categories and the third one.
