Tell me about Charlotte Country Day School

How are the facilities? How are the athletic programs/teams? What kind of reputation does it have in Charlotte and North Carolina? Would you imagine it being a nice place to work?

I went to Latin - so I'm technically supposed to say Bucs drool Hawks rule.  But in all seriousness, Country Day is a top notch program with a fantastic reputation in Charlotte and surrounding areas.  Their facilities are all up-to-date and tend to always sport a very competitive team in every sport they participate in.  Between Latin and CCDS, I couldn't imagine many other places to teach in Charlotte with the kind of reputation both schools have.

I am 12 years removed from HS however, so the few updates I get on the current private school scene are very rare (and Latin related).

I would be working in their Athletics Department under their Director of Athletics for all three upcoming sport seasons...fall, winter, and spring.

The former long time head football coach is a close family friend. They have always had top  notch facilities as long as I've known coach Witman. Even 15 years ago the difference in the weight rooms alone between Catholic (96-00 alum)  and Country Day was staggering. Lacrosse appears to be very popular there as the last few years he has mentioned losing several players to that team. The football team is nearly always competitive and when the cards fall right with talent they've won multiple state championships in the past.
