Seahawks offer Wilson $21M/year but Wilson wants more

Seattle has $38,006,832 in cap space next summer, the 9th most cap space in the NFL, as well as $0 in dead money.

The Bengals are the only other playoff team in the top 10 for 2016 cap space.

Their GM knows what he's doing. This general idea that they're gonna be strapped for cash and aren't gonna be able to pay guys is a pipe dream. It's just a fantasy by other fans hoping they fall apart.

Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor in the 5th is genius.  But he also drafted Mark LeGree from App in the 5th.  He also traded a 1st and 3rd and took on the salary of Harvin.  In other words, he ain't perfect.

He also has a clear different philosophy than GMan, who seemingly values the front 4 more than back 4 on D, the football player over the combine warrior who their guy likes, and clearly sees the value in keeping first round picks in 2015.  GMan has been a part of 8 Super Bowl teams and is 2 for 2 here for division titles.  I trust our guy.

And that 38 million is going to be more like 15 million once they get their "franchise" QB signed.  Not sure thats going to be enough to keep everyone they want to keep.

I thought like that for a while but look at his receivers, they scare no one. And most importantly, he leads the league in 4th qrtr comebacks since he's been in the league. I don't like RW, he has many prayers answered and maybe his luck will eventually run out. But he sees the field very well and knows where his guys are and is very agile in the pocket. At the end of the day, he is worth whatever he gets paid by whatever team.

jake Delhomme once led the league in 4th quarter comebacks.

The reason that teams can pull off 4th quarter comebacks has much to do with running games and defense much of the time.

I just looked at the Seahawks free agents for next year and it's a lot more big names than just Wagner. Someone will be leaving if Wilson gets a mammoth contract.

I was just talking about the most expensive.

This right here. Quit hating on Russell Wilson, he's been THE MAN since he was around these parts lighting up the ACC.

Half of their roster, literally, is a FA after this year.
