Carolina had the healthiest defense in the NFL last year, and the 25th healthiest offense

For an adjusted ranking of #6 healthiest team in the NFL.  The defense really threw off the stat because the offense was banged up all year.

Hmmmmm....maybe that mad scientist Chip Kelly is onto something after all. If nothing else, his unorthodox training regimen appears to be working to some extent.

We started using GPS technology to keep up with each player's minutes, work load, etc. and Gettleman seemed pretty sold on it. I think the GS Warriors do something similar, and they were the healthiest team by far in the NBA, which was a huge reason why they were able to win the championship.

"As soon as we got on that GPS and really understood what it was telling us ... we were pretty stinking healthy at the end of the year," he said. Gettleman said GPS definitely is a tool the Panthers will use going forward.

From a football standpoint, nothing can replace a hurt QB and losing 10% of your cap for league PR, but I'd happily take those injury numbers overall again.  Fingers crossed.

Honestly, our offense being hurt actually helped us out. We found out about some exciting rookies.

Not sure how much weight this stat carries, considering that the playoff teams are pretty evenly distributed. It's not like the Hawks and Pats are sitting up top.
