Support shrinking in the wake of poor Panthers preseason

without being too curt, you sound like one of those rubes who switched teams to the Panthers on one basic principle (regional interest) yet can't wait for the opportunity to call someone a bandwagoner, which has been basically the theme for this thread is for everyone to jump out, flash their fan dicks and talk about how this guy's methods suck and that he's not supporting his team based on your book of fan excellence, when nobody really cares.

What other reason would there be to be a fan of a particular team?

fowler is an idiot. he didn't need this to prove it, though.

did you guys ever read the crap he wrote at the olympics last year?

flat out moron.

this article started with a premise that the panthers were going to suck and they were losing fans because they, like he, thought that the season was over before it started.

what does he do? starts asking around for someone who is unhappy with the preseason and is willing to sell their tickets because of it. he then writes an article saying that this is happening all over the place because he found these people in myrtle beach who support his idea.

he knows the only way that any one is going to care about what he rights is if he comes up with something controversial. he knows that the only way to get anyone to notice him is to write something hateful about the panthers.

he is a sad little attention ***** who has to make pathetic statements like this article to get anyone to notice him.

it would be interesting for someone to write an article about someone who just bought PSLs because they feel good about the panthers chances. there's going to be just as much, if not more, of that going on than what fowler was saying.

Fowler wants (more than anything) to be viewed as a "big time" sports writer. In this strange universe, the way to garner respect from your peers is to constantly bash the home team, and the positively worse thing you can do is be perceived as a "homer'...it's like being labled a communist in the 1950s. He trying so hard to be like the big boys in the northern media markets that constantly bash ther local teams, where this is taken as the "norm". Im not advocating homerism, but you can find disgruntled fans everywhere. Im sure there is a dumba$$ in western PA that is returning his tickets because the Steelers dont have the logo on both sides of their helments....if a guy llike Fowler were to find this person, I could see the headline..."Steelers may move to Oklahoma City because of logo Flap".

It's ok it will clean out some of the fairs weather fans

J/k

But I do loose all respect for fans that sell tickets to games they were going to go to over preseason games. You need to have at least a little more faith then that.

And am sure it also had nothing to do with the fact that he got double the face value for the tickets... and of course probably sold them to an Eagles fan...............

No matter what the guy in this article is not a "FAN"... yeah yeah yeah we all have the rights to do what we want, and even show our displeasure for our home team - BUT come on and give me a break!!!! What "fan" is selling their tickets to the home opener of a new season!!.

That was a B.S article, and this "Fan" didnt want to drive all the way to the game and decided he could make some $$$ by selling his tickets to most likely an Eagles Fan. ALL I CAN SAY to this guy is THANKS alot for making me have to deal with another teams fan at our stadium!!
