i was wondering about that.  hopefully the coaching staff and trainers are being cautious about this.  i still remember a pulled hamstring turning into a nagging injury that took steve smith down for an entire training camp, preseason, and the first two regular season games in 2006.

Brandon Williams, however, will not. Had minor groin surgery in June per Joe Person on Twitter. Should be ready by end of the 2nd week of camp.

I'm excited to see what happens when teams can't just double team one WR this year. Its exciting since for the first time in over a decade we MAY (I stress may since Funchess is still an unknown) have a legit NFL WR Corps

Does Brandon Williams' injury increase his risk of being cut?  Just wondering how valuable a player he is?  Any chance we'd go for only 3 TEs?  (Olsen, Dickson & Brockel)?

Good.  Hopefully the team was just being overly cautious with him during OTAs and it wasn't that bad.  Hammy issues have a nasty habit of lingering.  Better to be overly cautious and sit him out of OTAs than risk an issue lingering into camp and possibly even the season.

we're deep at receiver. ease him back into it. we know he's starter material anyway... might give some of the bubble guys extra snaps to improve.

Seems to me as a guy, any surgery about the groin would be major even if the procedure was supposedly a minor one. Maybe it's just me.........
