No. The article sounded positive to me.

I think you should go back an re-read it then. They basically said worst case scenario we're a sub 500 team. Then predicted us to go 7-9 which in their own words would be the worst case scenario.

So basically they said yeah all this good stuff could happen and they could be like 11-5 or 12-4 and make it to the NFC Championship game or even the Super Bowl OR all this bad stuff could happen and they could be Sub 500. But ALL this bad stuff has to happen not one or two of these things but ALL of these things have to happen for them to be sub 500. fug it let's just assume ALL the bad stuff will happen because... why not... 7-9

This season cannot get here soon enough.  It's going to be sweet to see  all the "what the hell just happen looks" that's going to happen throughout the season.

Ok let's just get this out in the open so we can be done with it.

Offenive Line:

Left Tackle- Oher/Martin (questionable but better than last year)

Left Guard: Norwell (FO sees him as a 10 year starter)

Center- Kalil (arguably the best at his position)

Right Guard- Turner (2nd year guy looking to take that next step)

Right Tackle - Remmers/Willams/Martin (solid group with huge upside)

Why is this group so maligned again?  This can be as good of a line as we've seen in years.

besides Kalil, you would actually have to watch the games to know who any of the other guys are. the media doesnt know poo about Norwell besides him being undrafted. they dont know that remmers looked solid along the line, they see him as a guy claimed off of a practice squad. turner is seen as a young guy, williams as a rookie, martin as part of the incognito scandal, and Oher as the guy cut from the Titans.

Well lord knows you cant watch the games before you report on the specifics of a team!

That would take like, hours and stuff.

when has a major media outlet actually done their research? there are too many better stories like russell wilson and ciara or how many fingers pierre-paul has left. or deflategate.

its easier for them to copy paste what they put last year and just add a few new names here and there instead of watching film of all 32 teams.

I wholeheartedly agree that the media wont do the work.

That still doesn't take the palm out of my face when I read their steaming pile of horse-cockery.

I have a hard time seeing this year's team going sub .500, barring significant injuries of course.  If relatively healthy, I see this as a realistic scenario:

4-2 in divisional games

Jax, Houston, Skins, Titans, Giants need to be wins, but we'll typically drop one game that we shouldn't

Seattle, Philly, Indy, Green Bay, Dallas need to win at least two of these, shouldn't be too much to ask, and could certainly do better

If that all plays out it leaves us at 10-6, very solid year.

    • PFF made it up just to make Bryce look better. Crazy right? Also I can’t believe you said he played “better.” Careful and you might let a compliment slip…. (kidding)
    • re: PFF having Bryce Young as the best deep passer in week 12 Link to original article Excerpt from the article: PFF's passing-by-depth report for week 12 NFL Pro's Film Room Play 1 - Completion to XL running a deep crosser despite multiple penalties by KC on the play Film Room Playlist NFL Pro.mp4 Play 2 - Completion to JT with the pass rush closing in Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-01.mp4 Play 3 - Hits David Moore in the hands while taking a shot from new Panthers' DL Ter'shawn Wharton for what would've been a TD Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-02.mp4 Play 4 - This is the first play that folks could attempt to pin on Bryce if not for one detail... this was 3rd & 10 with 9sec left in Q2 (as seen in the screenshot showing the list of plays). Bryce had to air mail it out of the back of the end zone so that there was still time to attempt a field goal before halftime. Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-03.mp4 Play 5 - Bryce places this ball where only David Moore can get it (spoiler: Moore does not get it). I've included the other angle as I was confident that some would try to hyperfocus on this play as why PFF was wrong in their evaluation. Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-04.mp4   Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-05.mp4 Play 6 - Sideline shot to XL but he drops it. Again, both angles included to avoid bad faith misrepresentation.
