My Doctor is Trying to fug me Over.

So, long story short, I saw this doctor a few in February because he was covered by my insurance. Realized right off the bat that he wasn't the doctor for me, seemed like a total quack. Skip ahead to today, I get a bill for these three doctor visits totaling 396$. I called them up and said this was a mistake because they should've billed my insurance. After about an hour on the phone, it turns out that the lady in charge of filing payments mixed up my info and the billing to my insurance never went through. Problem solved? Nah.. They want ME to pay for this ladies mistake. They even threatened to take me to court if I didn't pay and that's not even the worst part... These assholes have it setup to where the 396$ I owe increases by nearly 25% each month, until I pay.

What the fug?

At the end of the day you are responsible for the bill.  Pay them and then file it with your insurance because you can bet your ass your ins co isnt going to reimburse the penalty.

Problem is, I have insurance at the moment. Pisses me off that I'm at fault because some dumb blonde couldn't file my info correctly.

Welcome to adulthood.  Handle it calmly because freaking out won't help matters.  Even if it's their fault just be cool about it.

This is the best solution.  If you already pissed off someone I would call again tomorrow and you will most likely get someone else.  I have found that if you are nice and dont accuse them of being stupid or point fingers most will submit a claim to be refiled with the insurance.  The person you are talking to is someone that works and probably does not make a ton of money so he/she should be able to understand that $400 dollars is a lot to ask someone to pay, especially when the reason they are paying is because of an insurance filing mix up.

I actually had something similar happen where my twins went in to get a flu shot.  One claim was paid and another was denied because someone changed the birth date and it did not match. I kept having it resubmitted for about 9 months and the office kept screwing up and actually turned it over to a collection agency (was recalled from collection but still...)at one point.  Finally talked to someone that realized how stupid it was and sorted it out within a day or so.

Good luck.

I'd never be mean to someone, even if it's their fault. That won't get me anywhere.

they're just jealous that can't hold that many eggs

They're going to be extra jealous when I don't pay for it. I couldn't possibly be in more debt...smh.

    • Everyone wants to know what happened to Hunter Renfrow. He went from the Pro Bowl in 2021 to an afterthought in 2022 and 2023 to out of the league in 2024.  Renfrow ow is attempting a comeback with the Panthers. “It’s just trying to get back, trying to get healthy, trying to do something I love,” Renfrow told Darin Gantt of the team website when asked about a year out of the game. “I enjoyed other parts of life. We had our second daughter, so enjoying that and just wanting to make sure if I’m going to come back and give my time and attention to something that I was going to be all in on it.” Renfrow, 29, revealed that he has dealt with a diagnosis of ulcerative colitis, which left him with weight loss, fatigue and high fever. It’s a reason he did not play last season. Instead, Renfrow spent a year consulting with doctors and getting the condition under control. “It kicked my butt pretty good,” Renfrow said. “Last year, I fluctuated in weight. I went down to 150 pounds. I had like seven straight days of 103-degree fevers. It’s tough to play when you’re not feeling great.” He now weighs 187 with a goal of a playing weight of 185. “It’s a weird feeling. It makes you grateful for the times that you do feel good,” Renfrow said. “It makes you grateful for the opportunities that you’ve had, and when you feel like you’ve been blessed with some skill to go out there and perform, it makes you not want to waste the opportunity that you have. And that was one of the reasons why I wanted to come back and play.” In five seasons, Renfrow has 269 receptions for 2,884 yards and 17 touchdowns. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/hunter-renfrow-a-health-challenge-led-to-time-away-from-football
    • I am feeling optimistic for sure. But at this point in time in Panthers fandom talk is cheap and seeing is believing.
