Jags release Ace Sanders

What's the harm of giving the guy a shot at making the team?

I'd forward that question to the league's 32 general managers, because so far not a single one of them has found him worthy of an offer sheet (even at a time when teams are carrying ten receivers).

He might get a shot somewhere at some point, but the fact that nobody was even willing to pay him a fourth round rookie contract doesn't bode well.

I really can't believe people are getting worked up over us not signed Ace fuging Sanders. Then again, it is the Huddle...

We have a lot of competition at WR as it is and players we cut will likely make another team's roster. Not very likely that we sign any more wideouts unless there are injuries at camp or a player shows he just doesn't belong (Boykin... still not sure why we bothered signing him, but no harm), and extremely unlikely that any available would be better than what we have. Sanders would not be able to compete for our 5-6 spots on the roster, considering what we already have. He's just not good. And as Mr Scot said, not a single team has found him to be worthy of a spot on a training camp roster...

Stupid logic, bud.

Why?  Cause you say so?

It is far more logical than him being as good as Ginn/Brown based on his rookie season.

Ace

2013   51 Receptions for 484

2014    6 Receptions for 55

Colbert

2004  49 Receptions for 754

2005 25 Receptions for 282

2006 5 Receptions for 55.

Ace's decline was a year faster than Colbert.   Now we are going to argue he is a better punt returner than Ginn?

He is a waste of a space.  The WRs we have on our roster have a better chance to make this team than a scrub from USC.

STFU and come back with something intelligent next time.. That is if you got something intelligent to say.

To be far he was suspended and thrown into the doghouse behind countless 1st-3 round talent wrs...but lets omit the facts...

Everyone one makes mistakes. Like you picking the one part of my statement that's up for debate and try to spin it,but leave out the two most important parts. Nice.

Or you acting like his being suspended was some terrible injustice rather than understanding that it happened because he did something to deserve it.

It was his own fault.  No one else's.

(and don't bother trying the "it should be legal" argument; that's no excuse)

Again, it's not like we're ignoring someone the rest of the league is panting after. Nobody wants this guy right now.

Maybe he'll get a shot somewhere eventually, but the fact no team has any interest right now when there are 90 people to a roster and he'd come cheap says something.
