Here's a guy i would love to bring to camp. Getting cut in Jacksonville shouldn't be held against since they have been wr crazy the last few years and unearthed undrafted gem  Hurns. I would say hes better than Boykin right now and would probably make our team as atleast a kick returner. What say you...

Hey, you want to know how I know the season is getting close?

Former Gamecocks are being cut and fans are supporting the Panthers picking up a 5'7" 179lbs former Gamecock as a returner when we already have Ted Ginn?

I'm a footall fan. Never watched a gamecocks gm. But for those making light hearts jokes about it i assume u dont know much about ace. He had a solid rookie Campaign catching 51 passes from who i assume to be Blaine Gabbert. he's kind of a jack of all trades guys  even throwing a touchdown pass. And for those talking about Ted Ginn how many tds has he returned for the panthers? Or San Fran last year?

If you caught 51 passes as a rookie size shouldn't be talked about as much seeing as you have already proven you can make an impact at that size. But this is the huddle and everyone wants to be a smartass....go figure...

you are correct that Ginn did not return any TDs for San Fran last year.

    • Karlaftis and Danna have been pretty inconsistent so teams have been doubling Jones and able to contain their pass rush.   But the good thing is that yesterday, we schemed well against Steve Spags Defense, Canales married the surrounding personnel with his QB through play designs within his comfort zone and was able to get downfield at will.  He was able to execute higher difficulty throws and look a lot more comfortable.  It tells me that Canales has a good system in mind, and had an edge gameplanning wise against Spagnuolo - which is nice to see.  It's a bit to see-saw at times with either going way too pass heavy or way too run heavy, but I think he's finding out what works.  It takes time to have it come together, and sure, I could see regression happen against a better front-7, but this was good for the entire system gelling.
    • This was evident first two weeks of season. I don’t see any issues with physical tools since he came back. I think he is a player that must play with confidence to overcome those size limitations and he’s doing that.
    • Still 3-10 on passes over 15 yards.  At least he's not scared to merely attempt them anymore.  Where I see improvement is the 10-15 yard range.  He was 6-6.  Bryce of old was scatter shot on anything beyond 10 yards and the further out, the worse the accuracy.
