This year is different, Ivan...

I know...you've heard it all before, but think...Cam has another year of experience under his belt. Remember, he still had milk behind the ears when he arrived in Charlotte. Secondly, he has legitimate weapons in fitting with our conventional offense. Say what you want, but Olsen is a rock, and the presence of Benji and Funchess will absolutely command attention. And this doesn't even include potential X-factors like Cotchery, Brown and Dickson (among others).  Moreover, our defense is seasoned and loaded full of athleticism from the front to (dare i say) the back. With their emergence last year later in the year, as well as the addition of Shaq and Peanut, there is every reason to believe that we will only be better.  We will be better...on both sides of the ball.  And I didn't even mention special teams which was G-man's seeming top priority this off-season.  

Sure, there is a big question on the O-line, and perhaps on the D-line, but we did a good job of compensating last year, kind of figuring it out later in the season. Oher is better than Bell, Ealy showed late improvement, and Big Frank should be more than smoke. We can only get better. 

We really have too many good pieces to outright suck.  The motivation is there, right along with a big ol' chip.  That should mean modest improvement (two-three games) at the least.  We haven't been in this position in July for years.
