Barclays Premier League- 2015/16 Season Thread

Coutinho to the rescue again. What a beautiful strike. We still have several issues to address, but at least it's 3 points.

Stoke away never an easy fixture either.  Not many teams come out of there with all 3 points recently.  I expect a much better attacking display next week vs Bournemouth.

Liverpool defense was great today.  Clyne and Gomez were both strong in their debuts.  Sure they had a few worrisome moments but that's to be expected.  Both look like good investments.  Lovren also was rock solid, maybe he'll have a bounceback season.  I wonder if Can starts next game.  I really like him as our holding mid allows Coutinho to be more creative and play further up

Gomez concerns me. The reason he started over Moreno is because Rodgers felt he was more sound defensively, yet he made 2 blatant errors which lead to clear cut chances for Stoke. He looks panicky when things break down a bit.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well Dejan Lovren played, but I'd still rather have Sakho out there. When Emre Can came on, the match really took a turn for us. Dude is a natural leader. He was out there barking orders more than our captain and vice captain were.
