When I was a kid we would jump off the roof using a garbage bag as a parachute. It had a fail rate of 99.9%..

go do a tandem.  You have no resposibility so its actually pretty relaxing.  When you land safe and sound youll have a whole new perspective on the sport in general.

I tried sledding off a roof in the middle of summer. Should have thought about the garbage bag parachute thing.

Have a friend that's done it more times than he can count. I think he stopped after he and his brother were first on scene to a co-jumper that had their chute not deploy. Pretty much mush/death on impact.
