if it doesn't have the lil blue check mark, it's not verified... and not "Official"

This is from the "Official" Panthers page.55a1fc016ab30_FireShot_Screen_Capture__0

Just out of curiosity does anybody else find it weird that Kawaan Short is featured on this but not Star (who was a 1st rounder just like 90 percent of other plays on the cover photo?)

People said the same thing when they used that same photo on their twitter page.

Facebook is absolutely the bottom of the barrel of social media. It is just awful.

Facebook may not be one's cup of tea for sports fans, but it is absolutely the best social media site for family and friends to stay in touch with one another, and even network with one another. It is a great tool for family and friends. Moreover, it is better organized than most social media sites with better search algorithms and filters than most social media sites that exist. It is certainly the most complete. And, it will be introducing more filters soon. Like has been said, if a person doesn't want to be involved with a fan page---or any page---they can unsubscribe and/or filter it from their feed.

I agree it's great for family and friends. For public consumption? It's hot garbage.

Well, that depends. You can choose to interact with a post, or skip over it altogether. Moreover, it can hip you to info that you may be interested in. For example: I liked Zenni Optical's page, then a promo of theirs showed up in my feed that I was interested in. Save Wireless Choice was something I have taken an interest in, so I let my network know, and got some people in it to sign up as well as spread the word to their own. FB, much like many things on the Internet, to a large degree is what you make it.
