Why is everyone pegging Zeller ahead of Frank?

Just makes too much sense.  Cody is our best defensive big and he's been around for two years so he's more comfortable and knows the system.  Rushing a player into a role can sometimes be an awful decision.  That's arguably what ruined Freddy Adu's career.  And as others have said, Frank is a terrific fit on that second unit where he'll arguably instantly be our best scoring option.  And yeah he'll be much more lethal with Lin feeding him on p&p's

 

Did you watch Harden play this year? Big improvement defensively. That's pretty much why the Rockets made it to western conference semis.

Harden is kinda like Kyrie, he's just fine on D when he wants/needs to be.  He's just more worried about being a dominant scorer which he is

You provided nothing besides saying "he's better, I can tell". Zeller's defense impact alone makes him far better than a green player with 0 games played. Frank might be better one day (I really doubt it, personally), but there's no way in hell he is right now.

Maybe Frank could teach Cody a thing or two, or vice versa, It could work out favorably for both of them to be on the same team.

Harden is the best player on that team, leading assist man, the leading scorer, and runs the offense. Asking him to be a lockdown defender too is asking a lot out of any great player over 82 games and playoffs. Thats why they put good defenders around him so he doesnt need to give so much on D. He is the offense.

Zeller is the most skilled Vet so he'll start at PF. Frank will see 15-17 mins off the bench just like Zeller did as a rookie.

 

Clifford is a Vet's coach and he'll play them over Rookies. Players have to earn a spot, he's said that a few times now about rookies.  Frank probably has a better chance for more minutes later in the year because of his Polish though.

Defensive is mostly about hustle, positioning, IQ, etc. 

You can improve, mask, and scheme around defense much easier than offense. 

With our team, you cant leave a guy as gifted offensively as Frank on the bench. 

He needs to be playing. 

The spacing alone he will bring will do wonders for our offense.

All of which Cody Zeller is better at at this particular time thanks to more NBA experience and athleticism.

When Frank is ready, he will get his, but if you're expecting him to take the job out of the gate you're going to be disappointed. It's okay if he goes through an adjustment period. Every rookie does.

This really has me thinking that our second unit might be great, it's a 5 out system and will allow Lin to slash. It's either going to be amazing or a disaster.
