What would be a disappointing season for you?

Rosters are pretty much set except for guys getting cut in camp so we have a decent idea of who will be on the team. Honesty anything less than an NFCC game appearance would disappoint me. I think DG has put together the best roster we've had this century, and with subpar talent we've gotten to the divisional round the last two years. My only concern is Shula and Rivera's late game chokes.

Been around long enough to know that the most common outcome in our 20 seasons has been 7-9 (7 times, and that's not even including last year, which was pretty much 7-9 as well). After our most recent run, I won't be incredibly disappointed if we go 8-8 if it gets us 2nd place. We're due for a .500 year.

I don't know, I think it'd be pretty damn fuging amazing if we go 6-10 and win the division and go on to beat the 18-0 Patriots in the Super Bowl. Could you imagine the sh*t we'd get and how pissed those New Englands pansies and bandwagoners would be.

Why not 4-12? It's possible. Split the divsion, and win one additional game while all others lose, division champs.. In fact, 3-12-1 might actually be possible,

unless we win the Super bowl it will be a disappointing season.  Because when we make the playoffs the last game we will play will be a loss which is disappointing.  Not making the playoffs wouldn't be just disappointing, it would be a disaster of epic proportions.

I don't understand folks who would be satisfied just winning the division when that is the first step not the last.

This whole notion that somehow it is Rivera's fault if we start off slow is really foolish and speaks to a scapegoat mentality.  First of all we havent started each year off slow.  Last year we started off 2-0 and even after game 6 we were 3-2-1 with a banged up quarterback and no offense to speak of.  Up until this season we have been digging out of cap hell and were doing a peach basket turnover in personnel starting guys who would even be on the roster of many teams in the league.

I dont think we start off slow this year either because we have more stability at key positions, we actually have receivers who are familiar with the system and we have upgraded special teams and offense which were the 2 areas we struggled last year.

He is 1 season removed from being the coach of the year in 2013.  He is not the problem or the reason we have started off slow.

You make some good points. Never complain about finishing strong in December. That's how championships are won. Got to love the "it's all Riveras fault for the slow start" mentality that turns into "Cam is clutch in December" when we finish strong. I hope Rivera coaches for the next 15 years. It would  mean we have taken control of the NFC South.
