A new trend? Sugar wife?

Been living this life for 20 years now. I met my wife after I retired from the Navy and I had the luxury of working or not before I met her, so when we got married I had found a job that was supposed to just keep me busy. Meanwhile, she's on her way to the top and I retired a second time in 2011 and started my own gig. I'm still working and make pretty decent money......

.... but my wife is making 6 digits managing private country clubs, we have no kids and can afford to do whatever we want, whenever we want. I'll never be the stay-at-home guy as I've tried it a few times and never made it past a couple months without getting bored out of my skull. But I can literally live the country club life (although I choose not to) and I have the financial ability to make a lot of choices most other people cannot.

Want to adopt me?  I'm past changing the diaper age but I do still pee on a toilet seat sometimes.  After few beers my aim takes a toll.

Wish this was the case.

We are now in the mode of getting to where we can live on my check, and put her entire check into savings.  We don't have kids, and really don't plan on any, but I am not OK with the wife staying home....just doesn't sit right with me.

why don't the man and woman both work that's even more money for the family then more money to spend on awesome adventurous things

My kid is 8 and it only felt fair for me to work full time too. I worked part time, the whole "stay at home mom job is the hardest job in the world" thing is some serious bull poo.

I make good money, but my wife makes significantly more. We have no kids and have the money to do pretty much whatever we want. I'm super proud of my wife, but if I'm honest, I'd rather both of us take lower paying jobs with more flexible hours so we can spend our young, active years doing more cool poo. You know, before the hip/knee replacements and all that stuff becomes necessary.

I'm getting a kick out of some of the comments in this thread about 'letting' your wife go back to work, or still being on the fence about whether she should, like she's sitting on the bench somewhere waiting for you to call her into the game. Weird.

It's definitely an increasing trend.  My roommate met his GF on tinder - her dad is a famous movie producer and she's flush with cash.  He's a lazy sack of garbage, doesn't even know how to use a power drill and gets up at noon everday.  Lucky mother fuger.  I'm curious if she marries him though.
