I'm working on this...  lawn seats would be fine for me... idc.  I will let you know if I can get up there.

I may even let you get to third base if you play your cards right.

Hey Biscuit....friend of mine has a lawn ticket that he bought through Groupon that he isn't going to use because he is moving to Chicago. Since he bought it through Groupon I think he has to be the one to pick it up and show his ID but not sure. If there is a way to pick up the ticket without him being there, you can have it.

  • 1 month later...

Who's here?!

Sorry man, wasn't checking the huddle while there...

Johnny Rockets got me a ticket and I went with him and his gf and we sat on the grass... then he found some dude selling two front row tickets after the Deftones finished and they moved up there...  I bet it was as awesome as it sounded.

I enjoyed the show, although even as huge of a Deftones fan as I am, I didn't think they sounded that great.  They kept slowing down some of the songs and Chino kept doing weird lyrics in spots, so to me it was just meh...  but I'm glad I went.

Incubus was awesome, but it was weird, they seemed about half the volume of the Deftones... I guess their sound guys just set up differently.

There were a LOT of scantily clad, good looking women there for sure... and a WHOLE lot of weird motherfugers....

Between the ticket from JR and bleys letting me crash at his place, I owe some huddlers...  you guys are awesome.

Nah, you don't owe me anything Biscuit. Just glad you understood when we moved up to the front row. Didn't wan't to make a d*ck move and leave you out in the grass but since I knew you weren't staying for all of Incubus I couldn't pass up on $15 front row tickets.

Maybe I am getting old but I felt like I was going to have a heart attack a couple of times standing directly in front of the speakers. The bass coming out of them is unreal sometimes or maybe it was just being that up close to a shirtless Brandon Boyd (some homo). Regardless, I couldn't imagine being that close for a band like the Deftones with how much bass they put out.

Good times, great concert, and thanks for the ride to the show Biscuit. Oh, and on the way back to the Hilton we took a cab. The cabbie doubled up a couple of other people with us even though I strongly objected. Guy sitting in the backseat next to me and my GF threw up all over himself. I was very sober by that point in the night but I wanted to start beating the fug out of that unconscious prick but didn't want to spend the night in jail over it. Thankfully he only got it on himself and not my GF.

Glad you guys had a good time down there up close...  I stayed for most of Incubus, but wanted to get out before the main crowd did.  Sorry about the cab ride, that sucks...   there were a LOT of drunk people there, so I can see that happening.

I was rocking the front row with a Chino prompt to run up to hi five him. I enjoyed it a lot but where I was sitting it was LOOUUUDD!

I like Incubus a lot but I thought their set had some lulls...especially with the light-up mask. After the Deftones anyone who would follow would seem mellow.

My friend went. I didn't care for anyone but Deftones, and I saw them with Dillinger Escape Plan a few years back at The Orange Peel (DEP was incredible btw, everyone should see them). Heard Deftones were good, rest of the bands Incubus was mediocre.

After watching a few live videos of DEP on youtube, I really want to see them in concert.  Glad to hear they actually rock out.  I always thought The Chariot would have an awesome stage presence, but I was disappointed when I saw them in person.

DEP is one of the best bands I've ever seen live, go watch them when they headline somewhere, they really are fantastic.

This show was awesome. Deftones were great, just like I thought they'd be. I've seen almost every band I want to live and they were one of the last on the bucket list. They played like half of the white Pony CD (their best CD hands down), including Passenger (without Maynard), Knife Party, Digital Bath, Change...even Feitceira which is a great one. And of course they opened with Shove it.

Knife Party, Digital bath are my favorites from the band, but my #1 favorite is Birthmark and of course they didn't play it but overall fantastic.

Incubus was better than they were the last couple times I saw them but I'm still unimpressed. I just can't get into them, but they have talent.

Breaking Benjamin is coming next Wednesday, just a heads up. I saw them before and they are worth going to if you like them for sure. Great live.
