Been listening to different genres of music lately, and I seem to be listening to more of xylophone heavy jazz

 

What about you? anything your younger self would have probably sh!t all over, but you are digging now?

Always hated country growing up, things change I guess... A good friend recommended Zac Brown knowing what I listen to & come from.. Bought his live disc Pass the Jar and was hooked, so much talent in that band.....

Milt Jackson was real good, but it's not a xylophone...it's a vibraphone. I met Percy Heath a few times and am close with his nephew. And I think I played a few times with Jimmy Heath a little while ago. Check out Dorothy Ashby - In a Minor Mood if you want something really different. My buddy Roy Haynes on drums, Frank Wess on flute I believe and Ms. Ashby cookin' on the harp.
