As someone that has spent a few 4th of July's helping a professional pyrotechnics company setup for a city's show, and my own experience with fireworks, there is a reason they say only with a responsible adult.  It is very easy to get injured.

Sucks for JPP and the NYG.  They're illegal in Mecklenburg for a reason.  Freakin dangerous.  I've seen an 8 year old girl who escaped death but has scars on her torso for the rest of her life after an "adult" in her neighborhood, shot one of these "harmless" things.  

Hopefully this tragedy will help expose their danger and people will grow some sense and go to shows instead of taking matters into their own "hands".
