7th Shark attack in NC in last 16 days.

This isn't unheard of.

As for the sharks, I contribute it to really warm water, which equals really murky water.  Not to mention, with everyone having a little  more cash than the past few years, you have more people in the water.

I don't even think about honestly, and I was in the water all day yesterday at Masonboro.

I find this extremely interesting. I love sharks and the ocean so I'm really curious as to why the sharks are being drawn to the shore so much this year. At first I was thinking it was just some freak accidents but now I don't think I'd get in the ocean past my knees period.

Apparently the lack of rain caused water around shorelines to be extremely salty and reach of minerals and nutrients that smaller fish eats.  Smaller fish flocks to shores, bringing sharks with it.  From recent attacks... It don't look like sharks intended to eat humans but more likely tell them to "get out of my way".  It looks like sharks were hunting while humans were interfering.

These aren't bulls for sure. These sharks are just taking bites in low visibility. Sometimes they get more juicy pieces of us.

Yup, the water inshore the other day was 86 degrees.  That makes for some awfully low viz.
