Charlotte interested in Belinelli

Adrian Wojnarowski: Charlotte’s expected to be aggressive with Spurs shooter Marco Belinelli on Day 1 of free agency. Hornets can offer mid-level exception.

 

Great news. He would fit in perfectly and would be our 6th man instantly.

Rick Bonnell: The @Charlotte Hornets first call is to Marco Belinelli. Said that and wrote that 3 weeks ago. If that isn’t promising, guessing they regroup.

Rick Bonnell: I hear Belinellii is slow-playing this, which is understandable. But it’s early.

Rick Bonnell: I’m told — and this might be a total bluff — @Charlotte Hornets might move away if Belinelli doesn’t make a decision.

Great. But if we go into the season with Roberts as the backup PG again it could get ugly.

Mo has one foot out the door already so what other options are there?

Don't like Belinelli, I have a feeling of deja vu with him... a good player/shooter with San Antonio who will not be nearly as good outside of San Antonio like Neal

Roberts was not inept at PG. When Kemba went down- he played well in his absence. He was asked to do what none of us thought he could do and was up to par.

As far as Belineli goes- i think he could be a perfect fit. Doubt it happens though

When Belinelli chooses Buzz City over Trash Bay it'll be a nice little warmup for GS fans to prepare for Steph ditching them for the purple & teal in '17.

Thank gawd.  This has been one of my projected targets for us.  I think it'd be a good move but we still really need a 3rd PG
