"With the recent trades we made, we don't have room in the front court." -- @hornets GM Rich Cho on decision not to Biyombo decision.

Not extending qualifying offer does not preclude @hornets from re-signing Biyombo or Taylor. But I don't see that minus some other trade.

Honestly so many are overrating the guy like he's Bill Russell. I'd rather have him on the roster for defense, but hell. He's not. Time to get the hell over it and see which bigs can be ours for the future.

It's not really that, it's that we are over the cap anyway so there is literally no negative in extending the QO to him.

This. And, if we knew we weren't going to be extending it to him, why not trade the guy? Clearly he has a valuable skill for the league so at least try to get a return on your bad investment.

That's two top ten picks gone in the span of a couple weeks. If this doesn't work out, we are so low on young assets at this point that when Cho gets the boot we should be deconstructing back to the infamous 7 win season again.

Cho should realize that he's also a mistake and resign. He's an absolute disease and completely responsible for the mess that he's created with terrible draft after terrible draft and contracts that have hamstrung us. I wish he would take MJ with him when he goes.

I'm going to hold my breathe for our front court defensively. Zeller, Frank, Al, and Hawes? Yikes.  I understand getting guys that can shoot but you need balance.  Unless we're somehow shipping Al? I'm very lost with this team's decision makings this offseason more than ever.

They made me feel good for like 2 days after acquiring Lamb and Batum.

This was a decision I was expecting but I was hoping that we would keep him. It seems like we have all stretch 4s and the only 5 we have is Big Al and he sucks at defense. I guess we will see what happens through FA but I hope we can get someone that can defend.

I expect our # of turnovers to decrease and PPG to increase based solely on this move

Yep. People get emotionally attached to these guys, overrate them wildly and cry their eyes out when they realize they value them much more than league GMs do. But by all means, grab your new Clippers "Biyombo" jersey, plan for him to average 10-14-3 next year and then blame Doc Rivers and Ballmer when he averages 8 minutes a game and doesn't crack 40 points for the season.
