Panther fan ejected...for CHEERING?

I'm not kidding at all, and I paid $100 for my seat too - so I'll be dammed if I'm gonna sit there and not say anything.

Just like I said, I don't mind folks standing up when something big is happening - I stand up to, but this guy was standing up on just about every play, it was ridiculous. So I have to stand up every play just because the guy next to me does? I'm 37, I've been a football fan for a looong time and attended many Redskins games (mostly @ RFK) before I coverted over to the Panthers. RFK was one of the best football environments there has ever been, and people didn't stand up on EVERY PLAY. People also didn't sit behind you and scream in your ear. If someone had, they probably would have gotten a much worse response them someone like me politely asking them to stop.

Maybe that's why we can't get any noise on 3rd downs? People blow their load standing up and screaming on every play.

Sorry, but f*ck you. People like you are what makes our stadium atmosphere one of the worst in the league.

The only bad experience I've ever had was when the Panthers played the Browns a couple of years ago. The people behind our group would get huffy and complain amongst themselves every time we stood up. Mind you, we were only standing at the times most other people were (for big plays, or trying to pump the defense up). One time when were standing up and getting loud for the defense on 3rd down, one of them said, "why are you standing? It isn't 4th down." Whatever the hell that means.

If it's not worth 100$ to you to go out to the game where people cheering for their team might bother you, then don't go. Stay home where you can control the volume. I haven't been to BoA in person yet but these stories are rediculous. When people are getting kicked out/hushed for cheering and the players are complaining that the fans are too quiet, something is seriously wrong. Who would want to play in Carolina with an atmosphere like that.

I am a PSL Holder, sit in section 342. At the Ravens exhibtion game, a lot of tickets got sold. There was a Dad and 3 little girls sitting in front of me. In back of me was a guy with 3 of friends, about 45, I guess, old enough to know better let's put it that way; but, he was really drunk. Screaming, yelling angrily, and when he started dropping a few loud F bombs, the guy with his kids turned around and asked him to watch his mouth..the guy got more pissed at being called down; but, security came over, gave hime a warning and he calmed down. They watched the guy the rest of the game; but, he got through without any more problems. Stuff like that, well, one warning should be required, and if a second comes, out of there.

I know most of us in the section are all adults; and you know just watching how Fox coaches is enough to drop a few f bombs, but, when little kids are around, we really watch what we do.

On the other hand, at a Monday night game, against the Packers, the Lady in back of me yelled Brett Farve sucks and someone in the section, who no longer sits there reported her to security and they came out and 'talked' to her...we could not figure what was going on. 'sucks' is not the greatest term; but's used every day on daytime TV. That was positively ridiculous, particularly for someone who pays $220 a game. She told me when she asked who reported her and for what, they would not tell her who and just said it was a 'language' issue. I know the people who reported her, and trust me, they must have been having a bad night as they could be the poster children for bad behavior at some games.

There has to be some common sense and consistency in how things are done. I drink, most of us do, but, when little kids are around, we have to watch ourselves.

As to the guy cheering, or people standing, hey, its football, not church. Let people be and if you don't like what they are saying, ignore them or stay home and watch it on TV.

I really don't like the ability to text security and then you can't find out who reported you. That's ridiculous. We are all adults.

I was at the Ravens Panthers game a few weeks ago. I was cheering standing and making lots of loud comments. There was a young boy next to me about 8 or 9. His parents thought he was annoying me but we were cheering together yelling and screaming for the panthers. I did get a few looks my way when I started yelling about peppers and signing a new contract. Over a million bucks a game... wow only in america.

As a fan who has been going to Panther games for mega-years, I saw something Thursday night that really pissed me off albeit it was out of my hands.

I was sitting behind a family....mom,dad and three kids.

The little guy in front of me...he may have been 8 or 9..was so into the game...everytime the Panthers would get a first down or close to it he would stand up and jump and be so happy but the mom would look at him and say 'hush' or 'ssshhh' and the poor little one would sit back down...his siblings looked like robots.

What do ya do in a situation like that?

Those parents should be scolded for being a bad influence on their kid, that kid is going to grow up to be a quiet, polite, genteel, meek southern gentleman w/low self esteem!:prrr:

I don't care about the cursing either. It's a damn football game.

Bring some earmuffs for your kids or something.

I was real loud at the Panther-Bucs monday nite game and this guy next to me ask me to please stop swearing,he had a kid.I was considerate enough to watch my tongue and all was well.I guess if somebody is beligerrent(sp) around folks w/ kids and they threaten to beat them up,then it's ok to call security!

I do have to say that there was a guy sitting next to me down in section 115 that would stand up on almost EVERY PLAY... that was annoying and I finally had to ask him to stop. I don't mind standing up when something big is happening but this guy would stand up constantly. If Jake farted, this guy would stand up.

Much worse, there was a girl with an absolute ear-piercing scream sitting behind us and every time the Panthers did anything, no matter how insignificant, this girl would scream. I had to turn around and ask her to stop. I think a girl (who was actually a grown woman) screaming at the top of her lungs should get thrown out long before a guy who just stands up to cheer.

If they are going to throw you out, you should at least get a warning before they do - unless you're doing something really extreme or you are absolutley plastered drunk.

As annoying as it is,this is a football game and those fans care, any noise is good noise, stay away from the whine and cheese, sir!
