Seahawks offer Wilson a deal in the range of Cam Newton's

WOW/  He is into some serious, delusional self-love.  I can't believe he really thinks he is worth that much.  I think the Seahawk GM is crazy for offering him more that $10m, if you want to know the truth.  Wilson feels he should be the highest paid QB in the NFL--over Rogers, Manning, and Brady.

Here is something to consider--I would speculate that Wilson could not beat out the QB on the following teams:

  1. Green Bay
  2. Indianapolis
  3. New England
  4. Pittsburgh
  5. Carolina
  6. New Orleans
  7. Tampa Bay
  8. Atlanta
  9. Denver
  10. San Diego
  11. Detroit
  12. Tennessee
  13. Baltimore
  14. Dallas

Possible competitions:

(6) Cincinnati, Miami, Minnesota, NY Giants, St. Louis, Philadelphia.

That means that Russell Wison would probably win the starting job for the following teams:

  1. Kansas City
  2. Oakland
  3. San Francisco
  4. Arizona
  5. Jacksonville
  6. Cleveland
  7. Chicago
  8. Houston
  9. NY Jets
  10. Buffalo
  11. Washington

The point?  Russell Wilson, in another system, could not beat out half of the QBs in the league.

Your lists are completely silly. Wilson is easily a top 10 QB. He's not elite or worth more than Cam, but he's definitely top 10. And if you wouldn't pay a QB like Wilson more than $10M/year then you're a fool. Cam's deal would be fair for him. And putting Mariota and Winston over him (or any other QB for that matter) before they've played a down in the NFL is retarded. Bridgewater, Carr, and Tannehill are all in the top 15 as well. Just a plain dumb post.

I'd be a little scared if they get 2 first round picks from a team stealing him away on the non-exclusive tag. They'd be able to keep that defense intact and keep adding even more talent through the draft, and if they somehow found another capable QB they could be dominant for years to come. I'd much rather they keep him for like $25M/year. Best case scenario would be that he walks with them getting nothing, but that's very unlikely. Glad we have Cam locked up and no distractions, and it really says a lot about Cam that nothing at all was said publicly or leaked to the media about his contract situation. All done behind closed doors with all parties being happy. We're in a really good situation going forward.

He has to acknowledge that if they want to win more Superbowls, you should consider who brought the team there.  Salaries are escalating so much recently but these guys are nearing like $25 mil a year to throw a ball.  The NFL is crazytown.  Would any team really want to pay him $30 million a season?

It already is.  It could mean a trainwreck season for the Seahawks, distracted by Wilson's contract extention and unsure if their franchise QB will be there next season.  I'm loving this.  Meanwhile the Panthers have their franchise QB locked up and are ready to make a run.

Make a run? Hmm no, pay attention to the teams that make it to the SB/Afc/NFC -KB is our only receiver, not including Olsen. Betting on a rookie. -We're paying stew 7 mil and CJ 20 Just lol -Hardy is gone and CJ cannot do it alone. Betting on a rookie. -Brand new LT and RT with the team. Sorry but these are huge issues the top four teams generally don't have. Don't get me wrong, we will be in the playoffs but I don't consider that making a run. Seattle still has a better team than us this year, despite homer denial, distraction or not. Panther fans must have patients for the rookies to grow, bad contracts to end and money for real FA stop gaps to be there and for the team to click. THAT is what the top 4 teams generally share. The time is at least 1 of not 2 years away. Then we make a run.

Careful what ya wish for.  He could end up in NOLA or worse, Dallas.

That would be good. Wherever he goes he'll be overpaid, and still not good. And the team will likely have to give up 2 first round picks.
