Feelings on the Lakers pick?

There's no general NBA section, and I know that there are a few Laker fans on this board. I don't follow college basketball as well as I should, so what do you guys think of passing on Okafor for Russell?

It was a great pick. Okafor is a younger Al Jefferson. He will dominate in the post, but give up so many points he'll be a net neutral. Russell is going to be a stud, I wouldn't even have traded him for Boogie if it were my call.

Love it for the Lakers. Russell was the best player in the draft. And they screwed Hinkie, which is great.

Only thing I'd caution you with is we saw the highly touted, big point guard on a bad Ohio State team in Evan Turner and look how that turned out, but I think Russell is a star. Definitely front runner for ROY right now.
