Hornets select Frank Kaminsky

Jeremy Igo

I just don't see him translating that at all. He's going to go up against way more athletic defenders who are stronger and quicker than him. I think he's a decent role player at best and a liability on defense. Do people really think he's going to be successful at handling the rock, beating his defender and getting to the rim? Lol, I don't see it

He put it on the deck against WCS.

WCS might be the most agile big in the NBA now.

He'd be guarded by Bosh, Tristan Thomson, draymond green, milsap, Anthony davis, serge ibaka, Zach randolph, Aldridge etc. Sorry, I don't see it. Not to mention the log jam at 4, zeller, hawes and frank. If we start Al and frank that's the worst defensive front court in the NBA, who cares if he's a decent scorer.

Those guys, except for Davis, pretty much Lumber outside of 12-feet. As bad as the scoring from our SF has been, might as well let Cody play PG and let Frank play the strech with MKG guarding the perimeter shooters. If Lance could somehow find his game and Hairston turns into the savant shooter with limitless range and can guard the perimeter, Inthinknwe could be a really solid-squad.

I thought we got rid of Lance. Do we have another ?

Kevin Love was viewed by many to be slow, limited athletically, would struggle to get shots off against more athletic 4's & would be a defensive liability with a low ceiling for improvement . My point is we don't have a clue how good or bad Kaminsky will be. Kaminsky is a legit 3 inches taller than Love & has a better outside game coming into the league while Love was/is a superior rebounder. Anything close to the inside/outside threat Love presents would be fine by me

Love is/was a terrific athlete. Go check out his combine #'s. They are very impressive for such a "big bodied" guy. Every bit the athlete Michael Beasley was. Anyone who thought he was athletically limited was only paying attention to his skin color. Love was also several years younger than Kaminsky is when he came into the league.

Numbers compared to Frank? Quickness and all.

Love had a 29 in. standing vertical & 35 max & those are respectable for his size but scouts questioned his lateral quickness& didn't consider him a explosive athlete therefore questioned his NBA potential

Love is not explosive and def a below the rim player. People are forever overblowing athleticism.

If there is one thing to offset athleticism it is skill. And Frank has more skill than any 7fter in recent memory.
