Hornets select Frank Kaminsky

1) no one is goofier than Cody. Kaminsky's a much, much more fluid player offensively and he creates spacing where Cody does not. Cody, however, could be a 5 in the future because he can defend a bit better.

2) May as well consider Marvin gone after this year, and Hawes could be gone too. I wouldn't mind Al being let go to keep Hawes. Then, you have Hawes mentoring Kaminsky until Hawes is let go as a trade piece. Suddenly, Cody, Frank and potentially Biz are your big men. That's a solid big-man rotation. One can't shoot a lick but can defend, one can't hardly stand up on offense but can defend a bit, and one is a scorer who really creates on offense but needs a defender beside him. That's a fine combo. If Batum does well and they keep him long-term, suddenly there shouldn't be such a need for rim protectors if MKG and Batum are out there and MKG can defend 4s. That renders Frank as a far more important offensive piece, which plays in Frank's favor.

Well I'll certainly hope for the best, but I'm really limiting my expectations.  Good post.

Man this dude can put it on the deck and get to the basket, so impressive. Really hope his scoring abilities close to the basket translate well to the NBA. Also for reminders he lit up KAT and Okafor in the tournament this year. He was unstoppable in college.

dont hate Frank at all. Just hate that we took him over Winslow

I just don't see him translating that at all. He's going to go up against way more athletic defenders who are stronger and quicker than him. I think he's a decent role player at best and a liability on defense. Do people really think he's going to be successful at handling the rock, beating his defender and getting to the rim? Lol, I don't see it

He played PG for a long time, he has really good handles. He's not gonna be guarded by wing players, he's gonna be guarded by big men. He will be able to score. Pick and roll with Kemba will be lethal.

He'd be guarded by Bosh, Tristan Thomson, draymond green, milsap, Anthony davis, serge ibaka, Zach randolph, Aldridge etc. Sorry, I don't see it. Not to mention the log jam at 4, zeller, hawes and frank. If we start Al and frank that's the worst defensive front court in the NBA, who cares if he's a decent scorer.

I actually salivate at the thought of him being guarded by some of those guys. Move them outside, beat their big asses off the dribble and suddenly you have 2 FT or an open man to kick to if the defense collapses. Remember the last time we had that?

Those guys can't guard folks at the 3 pt line. He'll eat them with 3 pointers. Or pass the ball to Batum, who is a good scorer. And if nothing else, he pulls all those guys away from the rim and gives Kemba and MKG room to drive. People whined all year over losing McBob. They draft a bigger, more skilled McBob & everyone cries he sucks.

More people ed in your eyes, I thought mcbob was a better passer, handler and had a quicker first step than frank. Sorry, we're just going to disagree on this, I just don't see it.

people don't realize  how athletic Mcbob is.. Ball handling jumping out of the gym hops
