The new Spider Man has been chosen

I liked 1 reboot, but the second did what the first series did, muddled up.

They just need to stop with the origin stories of the established characters.

luckily, this is the plan this time

he'll get an intro (not origin story) in Captain America: Civil War and then they'll go straight into story telling with his solo film in 2017

I'm kinda done with Spidey in the cinematic universe. These studios have oversaturated the franchise. Marvel Studios is guilty of it as well. Ant Man (Iron Man 2.0) is a perfect example.

I realize Sony had to reboot the franchise in order not to lose the rights to Spider-Man but man did they overkill the reboot and the sequel.

Ant Man is far from Iron Man 2.0

This is Spidey's last chance. Marvel won't screw it up. But on the off chance they do and it flops hard, leave Spidey alone forever. Or for at least the next 15 years. Let the next generation deal with it.

How much time was there between that colossal MCF of a Batman movie with George Clooney and Nolan's Batman reboot?

(which, to be honest, could just as accurately be called a resurrection)

Wha?  Ant-Man is nothing like Iron Man, at all really.

Even tho I am burnt out on spiderman I think a new one could work becasue for all the films they've done the spiderman universe hasn't really been explored that much.

its been pretty much the same kind of story evey film. They're so many villains and areas they could take it we havent seen on film

Which is why I would want an older spiderman,,I want to see a character like Morbius or Kraven

Andrew Garfield was a decent spider-man.  The first one, was great.  The second one failed because they screwed up the villians and tried to put too many in one movie, and didn't flesh them out.  They should have chose Electro or Osborne, not both.  It was a really weird mashup.

Andrew was a pretty good Spider-man. He wasn't very good at all as Peter Parker.

The problem with the second wasn't JUST the villains. The weird mashup would have worked, if they didn't spend half the movie on the love interest. Dealing with the love interest, introducing Osborne, introducing Electro and developing his motivations, and trying to make it all relevant to Peter/Spidey, just waaaay too much for one movie.

Come on. A quippy guy with a suit has a troubled past but finds redemption while battling a power hungry guy with a similar suit.

I cant be the only one who sees the parallels here.

i mean... if that's the broad brush strokes we're going to use to compare comic book characters, they all basically fit that mold

Technically he's only the third, and Andrew Garfield was awful.

I saw something a short time ago claiming the kid from "Ender's Game" had the role, but it didn't seem legit.

I read the Ender's Game kid was almost a sure thing for the role, until he started telling everyone that he was going to be Spiderman. The first rule of Marvel is you do not talk about Marvel.
