Serious Question...

WOW!!

Recommended Posts

Vonleh an run the floor better.

He is better at being 7 feet tall.

He also faster, quicker, and a more explosive leader than Vonleh.

He is better at logging minutes in games.

He is better at getting drafted higher.

Shall I go on?

yes please..

But  let's go off your impressive list..

1. Vonleh is just as good running the floor..

2. Doesn't use none of his explosiveness because he doesn't finish in traffic..

3. Okay good one.. Lol

4. Another excellent point..

Now my list...

VONLEHS A shot blocker a better shooter a better post player a better ball handler and rebounder..

I would like to see both Vonleh and Zeller continue to improve so they can man the 4 and 5 spots.  You would have two big men that are able to run the floor, which would put a lot of stress on the opposing team's fast break defense.  Granted, it would also leave the Hornets without a guy that can stop a true low post presence, but those guys are becoming much more rare.

You asked what Zeller was better at. I could make a Vonleh list too.

Zeller has four issues IMO.

1. He needs to get stronger.

2. He is "Diaw" timid on offense. He had a midrange shot, but lacks confidence to take it.

3. He is uncoordinated in the post, which could also be due to getting pushed around.

4. He has a relatively small wingspan.

Defensively I love what he brings, and his elite athleticism causes fits for opposing bigs. He guards p/r very well. Offensively, he lacks a go to move or shot, like most of this team, but I really think a lot of it comes from a lack of confidence in his shot.

If he can consistently hit a midrange shot, better yet a 3...then he would be a weapon, because he does a lot of other things well. Time will tell I suppose.

I'm just glad we have him and Vonleh. Both can be solid big men for us, and I like the chances of Vonleh developing into something special.

My problem with zeller is that he's too prone to completely disappearing in a game. Too many times, he'll play 30+ minutes and have 4pts and 6 rebs. I don't think he has the balls to be aggressive or stop getting pushed around. He's too nice.
