True Detective Season Two

Yes his mom was ultra creepy, but the scene I was referring to (with his gf and the shower/viagra) was from ep 1.  Mom was in ep 2.

Wait, not every guy that uses viagra is gay, right. I mean, using viagra doesn't make a man gay, does it? NO way, never, I mean.... ugh.....

Yes. Yes Viagra makes you gay. It's an evil Pharma plot but unfortunately it's true. Sorry. I found out the hard way. :(

So that explains the shotgun blast and I think gay has been confirmed as the one cops issues. Certainly more too but definitely got gay underway and is confused about it.

Colin and Amy may end up tight to find out what's going on since everyone is steering them against each other and not really toward solving the case.

And apparently Vince Vaughn still has it and, like Wu Tang, he's not something to fug with.

Somebody said it last night on twitter and it makes the most sense of how I currently feel about season two so far...

It's like they're trying too hard.  Some of the dialogue feels forced.  I'm still in it for the long haul and some of the stuff at the end of last nights episode was very nice, but... something just feels off so far.

Im gaining a lot of respect for Vince in this heavy role.  He is proving that is is a lot more than the buffoon that I think of based off of most(all?) of his previous work.  I almost always like Farrell and McAdams and this season has been no different in that.

But so far there is just no chemistry in this cast.

Last season Harrelson and McConaughey lit it up right out of the gate.  Whether they were on screen together or not there was such depth and tension in their relationship they could have been investigating unpaid parking tickets and I would have watched.
