DG will figure out a manageable and well paying contract for Luke.  

 

Seattle is definitely going to need to prioritize going forward with their young guys but Wagner is a vital part of that defense.  I've said it before, I think him and Kam are the heart of that defense.

I think this is where we will see what teams have good GMs. A blind squirrel and find a nut sometines. Seattle has drafted very well the past few years, so have other teams but what really tests the GM is if he can sign that core long term, keep drafting well, and if he can sign key FA

Kam wouldn't be able to be a Deathbacker if Thomas wasn't in the secondary. Earl plays centerfield like a boss and relieves a ton of pressure off of Sherman.

Thomas is the most vital piece of that defense.

Can't dispute that.  He's the most talented guy on that team offense or defense and probably a top-10 player in the league but when it comes to who are the effervescent magnets that bring everything together at gametime, Kam and Bobby glow.

Drafting well really is only one part of the equation.

You also have to know the value of players, prioritize the right guys to pay and manage the cap in a way that allows you to keep the best team possible.

Strategy on those fronts is a big reason why we only drafted five guys this year when we had nine picks.
