NFL on ESPN: C.Johnson NFL most over paid player

We lost one of our best pass rushers, with his backup on the weed list.  We were playing Ealy, a rookie, and still were almost top 10 in the league in sacks.

Unfortunately, we weren't close to the year before, but that was an anomaly.

He won't get it, no matter what you say. I hear you though.

CJ is a great player; some say injury is no excuse, but the fact remains that dealing with an injury actually does matter and saying it doesn't is macho bull$hit.

CJ could have sat out games, but he sucked it up and gave his all.

I bet you were on of the people complaining about him last season. Now your making excuses

No Goody, most of us understand football very well. What is hard to understand is you, as a stated Panther fan, seem to go out of your way to find the negative in just about every Panther related topic?

Do you really enjoy being the contrarian, or are you just trolling us?

Do you want me to start quoting what some of you were saying mid season?

And so the people who work at ESPN watch more football than you and get paid for a living to do so know less than some guy on a forum?

So much depends on Ealy and Alexander.  Alexander will not command high $$ if he has a 10-sack season due to the risk of another suspension, this time for a season.  Ealy needs 5-7 sacks this season and he needs to show up vs the run.  If both show promise, why pay Johnson when his salary could be used to upgrade 3-4 other positions?

Gettlemen not only works to provide depth at key positions, but he works to avoid being held hostage because he has a good player who wants great player money because the position he plays a position that is hard to find. Not releasing Alexander, drafting Ealy--Gettlemen is holding the cards next season, not Johnson.
