Last year I think he had the most efficient year of anyone in NBA history...and this year his team mates were not exactly great. He was literally carrying that team because he thought he had to. I'm not making excuses for him. I enjoy watching greatness and I appreciate it. I enjoy watching any great player and don't hate the hype they get. I don't like hype when it's not deserved ala The Golden Calf of Bristol.

He had these teammates during the regular season and they were fine.  He also beat the Hawks by himself basically and everybody crowned him.  In the end, he's a great player in a shitty era.  That's what it comes down to, I honestly don't think his lack of shooting would've worked in any other era.  Especially the 80's with Oakley and Mahorn guarding the rim.  He would be hurt a lot and on his ass.

Maybe. I'm not sure but you could be right. I wouldn't say this is a bad era just that there aren't any great big guys (who play big) playing right now. But the shooting (particularly 3s) are better than ever it seems and the guard play is generally very good. I like the product that the NBA is putting on. I think there is a ton of talent out there but injuries really hurt a lot of teams this year...which kind of hurt the whole of the NBA.

Side note, I'm guessing this thread could be moved to the NBA section or we should just stop commenting on it. :)

In spite of Lebron's volume scoring, I still may have given him the MVP nod until the last 60 seconds of game 6, where he clearly quit and was even taken out of the game for a bit. Then he had two opportunities to make it to where Cleveland could hack a shaq and conceivably win, but bricked both shots. There was a shot with maybe 15 seconds left where JR Smith went for a 3 and Lebron was seriously standing on the perimeter watching.

i know he shouldered a burden throughout the playoffs that no other NBA player could even try, but that last minute just left a bad taste in my mouth.

These Lebron haters are like Cam haters...no matter what the dude does, he is just a selfish thug who steals laptops...

Say what you want, but Golden State was just a much deeper and talented team.

Exchange Jordan for Lebron and GS still wins.

That last statement is idiotic James has lost 4 Finals ... 4 - if you don't think Jordan would have won at least one of the 4 Finals LeBron lost, wow.

Jordan would have made this go 7 games and then dominated game 7. If  James can take the rag tag club to a game 6 against the Warriors how the fug is it crazy to say the GOAT would have WON it.

"It just kills me that this guy gets so much hate, only because he is the best/most hyped player of this generation."

Yet lost in the biggest stage 4 times lol he just isn't that good. He is good but not Jordan Kobe Bird good like he was supposed to be.
