Final Fantasy 7 remake

Yeah but if you wait too long and when the remake hits (and assuming it goes beyond what the original did or even the same just with pretty graphics) chances are the price falls. I assume a museum probably already has one.

Nah, the original PS1 version will always hold it's value.

Consider that final fantasy 7 has been released on pc twice, is on psn as a psone classic (psp, vita, ps3), and a digital ps4 version of the original is coming out soon it could very well drop in price if the remake is any good. By drop in value, i don't mean it will as soon as the remake hits shelves it will be worth peanuts. It may take awhile, it could just drop down in value by 20 dollars or so.

  • 2 weeks later...

I just recently got back from Europe so I completely missed E3 and this annoucement, I have wanted this for YEARS!!!!! I actually felt my eye's swell with man tears when I read and then watched the announcement a few minutes ago.

I will buy a PS4 just to have this game day 1, my PS4 will be known as the FF7 Machine!!!

They will fug it up.  They already said that they are not releasing the same game twice on the same console.  FF7 pc port will be original.  FF7 remake will disappoint half of the remake ff7 crowd.

But speaking with Engadget, Nomura has said a 1:1 remake is unnecessary.

“The original is out again: the ‘HD’ PC version is coming to PS4 already. We don’t need two of the same thing,” he said.

So what are they going to change?  I have hope but got this feeling the changes they make will fug up the whole thing.

I bet the core story will remain, and a lot of the game play like the turn based combat and silly mini games. It will get a HD overhaul with graphics and sound to go with the cut scenes. I could see them opening up the world and letting players really explore the world to a greater degree. More side quests to tell more stories would be cool as well. We'll, that's my hope. I still have my PS1 sitting in a box, waiting.. I also still have the game discs sitting there too... If it's everything I hope it might be... I might pick up a PS4 (and a good divorce lawyer!).

Wife doesn't like games? That sucks man....mine will sit there and watch me play the whole damn thing. She's still bugging me to pick FF XIII back up.

    • Yeah but jumping up in the draft to get a project #2/3 WR is just plain not smart. I am down on XL because the thought was that he could be a potential #1 WR and he has been anything but that so far. Also, the idea of him as a slot is even more upsetting because you pass on several more productive slot guys(McConkey being the most obvious) that were TREMENDOUSLY more NFL ready. I was not a fan of the XL move at the time and I am not a fan of the decision in short term hindsight either. He is just simply going to have to be a guy that proves it on the field to me. McMillian was my #1 WR in this draft and I was a pro-McMillian guy. However, he isn't gonna get treated with baby gloves either. We are in the era of rookie WR's putting up 1k+ yd seasons with regularity. He's going to(barring injury) have to be one of the top 2 or 3 WR's in this class in terms of production. And that's being very generous to him. He really needs to be THE guy from this class. It isn't like he is gonna have a lot of guys taking catches away from him.
    • Thought this was an interesting moment of candor. See the 2:00 min mark. TD said he made the decision that he wanted T-Mac as our 1st round pick back in January. Dan chimed in and said he made the decision early as well (indicating the same time frame).
