There's absolutely nothing I can say that'll express how ecstatic I am right now. My 1st thought was, we have 3 years to win a Super Bowl for him. That should motivate the team like nothing else. Second thought, there's not a better man to represent this team and Charlotte and North Carolina than Thomas Davis.

Excellent video on TD and what he went through to get where he is now. If any player ever epitomized what it means to "Keep Pounding" and take his place as the heart of defense and impact a community, it's definitely TD. I've always had an immense amount of respect for him. Now, I have a little more.

I give Gman a ton of credit for getting this done.  However, there is a history which deserves some credit too.

First, let me say the obvious....Thomas Davis is one the most high character guys in the NFL.  Guys like him do not come along everyday.  He was not chasing the $$$.  He was going to be a Panther or retire.

And why is that?  The Panthers stood by him when everyone else thought he was done.  Who gets the credit for that? I assume JR had to sign off on that.  And Hurney/Fox?  What is the back story?  Jeremy...do you have any idea/info on who was the driving force on that decision?

TD is the perfect Panther....in the mold of Sam.  Please...get this man a ring!!!!
