A few years back, buddy of mine's youngest son took his first shot to the nuts in a soccer game.

He's rolling on the ground crying.  My buddy and I are chuckling and saying things like "Now, you're a man, son", "Now you're one of us."  Then I happened to notice my buddy's wife staring at us.

I'm glad I can't read minds, because based on the look she was giving us, I'm pretty sure her thoughts involved me and my buddy experiencing a great deal of pain and suffering.
