Russel Wilson's agent sent the Seahawks a 16 page letter...

That's the part that seems fishy to me. Like it's a set thing on his calendar so he can point to it and show everyone how great it is.

On the other hand, it could be totally legit and honest and he is a great guy. I don't actually know but the cynic in me has me believing it's a little fake.

well, I know he has a kids thing called the Wilson Passing Academy and they were in Vancouver, BC last summer.  When the event was over and the rest of the gang hit the city, Wilson went to the BC Children's Hospital.

Russel WILL get paid a lot from someone. Unless Seattle feels someone else could give them similiar production, then it will be by Seattle. I could understand giving him a bigger bonus because he didn't get paid as well as other QBs, but nothing outrageous. That's just the nature of the business. You are not going to pay back your money to a team because you were drafted 1st round and didn't have as much success as a 3rd round QB. Russel would flip if they asked him to do something like that.

You ou can't just go out and replace this guy. Unless what he wants is over 25 mil a year, GET IT DONE!

I agree but the X factor in this is his baseball agent who has a history of letting clients walk to get paid more in free agency. However, football is a little different and the Franchise tag changes the game a bit. Wilson could hold out and sit but that would require significant cojones. It comes down to whether or not Wilson will blink. In the end, he might and will resign for a relative boat load of money. But he could make it interesting for the rest of us and play chicken with Seattle.

Well tell that to the Rangers GM who has his baseball rights and has said he wants Wilson to play baseball. I'd trust an actual GM. It's more than just a ploy. Rangers legit believe he can play in the majors.

He's batting .230 at A level ball, I don't think he's making it to the bigs, even with the Rangers being terrible.
