Netflix complaint

some of you may remember my questions on getting my chromecast up and running. Thanks for the help and advice - It is one of the best entertainment investments I have ever made.  Now on to netflix - now that I am streaming their movies instead of getting dvd s in the mail , I cant get current releases.  All they carry streaming is older stuff.  I have to go to sleazy web sites to find pirated current releases that netflix has on dvd but wont stream.  What is up with that ?

Talk to the studios...they get a piece of the rental/pay per view...that goes away if you get it for $7.99 a month

FWIW wifey and I have decided to do the following with Netflix:

We signed up with a gift card we were given, and it lasted us about 4 months... Now, we don't have Netflix...It expired... No harm/no foul though, as I download any new releases that come out (or get them from Redbox with free codes)...Instead of giving Netflix our CC info, we bought ourselves two more gift cards and will apply them to our account in a couple months and start watching again.

IMHO Netflix is only really good for binge watching completed shows, their original content, and some movies... If you're using streaming Netflix for new releases, I think you're doing it wrong in the first place.

That's the way it works, OP. Hulu streaming has day-after TV shows. Not sure how fast they get movies. Amazon streaming has a massive library that Netflix and Hulu do not but for a price ... and not day-after. Netflix streaming is what it is. Popcorn Time, though illegal, gets day-after TV and movies faster than any other streaming service.

Hulu is for television, Netflix is for movies and originals. Buy a DVD if you want movies as soon as they come out. (Or alternative methods)

does anyone have experience with :" pop corn time ' ?  Looks like you have to down load some of their software to use it.

I use it now and then. It's illegal, yes. Some people that use it a lot have received a letter from their cable company telling them to stop. I've yet to get that letter. It's nice because it's streaming. Once you exit the program, it deletes what you watched from your computer. Speed relies on how many other people are online with that movie or show active. It gets shows next day and movies really fast. And yes, you have to download the program to use it.
