Seahawks in extension talks with Bobby Wagner

They are going to trade Wilson for a King's Ransom. Like two first rounders or some poo. Then they'll probably trade Irvin to the Falcons.

There's no such thing as fair trade value for a franchise QB.  I think the media vastly overrates Wilson, but most of the Huddle vastly underrates him.  He isn't an elite QB, but he's better than most.

Early on, it looked like the Chargers really won that trade big that ended up with Eli in NY and Phillip Rivers + a lot in SD, but how does that look now?  The Giants have won two Super Bowls.  It also looked like the Rams won big shipping that #2 pick to the Redskins that became RG3, but neither has done much since, so did anyone really "win"?

If you have a legit starting QB you have to try to keep him.  If you trade him for picks, you better turn one of those picks into a legit starting QB which is a huge roll of the dice.

It doesn't make good business sense for Luke's agent to agree to a new deal before Wagner's agent. Luke's got 2 years left, Wagner's on his last. It would be stupid to let a guy that has never led the league in tackles, didn't win DRoY and has never won DPoY get more money than Luke simply because he's got a ring. And Wagner can't even claim to have a SB MVP. That went to LB Malcolm Smith, not Wagner, despite what a Falcon troll has been saying on this board.

The Rams definitely won that trade are you kidding? That team is stacked with talent all along the defense but hasn't had a quarterback or weapons to take them to the next level.

Thank you for essentially making my point for me.  You either have a QB or you don't.  You can't "win" a trade without winning on the field.  At the end of the day, all that matters are W's and L's and Super Bowls.
