3 reasons why the Panthers are all-in on Cam

Again, Luck has not had a sub 60% since his rookie year so what is there to talk about?

On the other hand, Cam's coach, Ron Rivera as recently as March said Cam needs to improve his consistency which is off due to his footwork and mechanics. It's not made up by the media.

His career completion % is 58% where Cam's is 59% that is all we are trying to say. If you want to get technical Lucks numbers are outrageously skewed due to the fact that he's already thrown 1,813 times in 3 seasons whereas Cam has thrown just over 1900 passes in 4 seasons. I think that is a Stat that is often overlooked when comparing the two players.

That was just because in Luck's rookie year, he had a terrible 54% comp. Since then, he has never been below 60% that is why no one talks about it. However, you still have Cam's coach talking about it so it's not media made up, its real.

You're in yet another thread splitting hairs with someone over this? His completion % is what it is dude. Both are good. Let the poo go.

People assume that Cam's accuracy issue is made up and by comparing him to Luck tend to make themselves feel good. It's not. Even Cam's coach and GM said that about him at the end of last season. Just bringing it to the fore.

Neither Rivera or Gettleman said Cam has an accuracy issue. If they actually thought he has an accuracy issue he would not have gotten that contract. Saying a player can improve on something is pretty much saying nothing, because any player in the league can improve any aspect of their game other than height and natural athleticism.

What aspect of a QB's game do you think footwork and mechanics affect?

How is that even remotely relevant? They didn't say he had a footwork or mechanics issue either.

"I'd like to see him continue to work on his position-specific skills ... his technique, his throwing motion," coach Ron Rivera said at the NFL owners meeting in Phoenix. "He relies so much on his great athleticism that sometimes he's not as sound as he needs to be on his fundamentals.

If you think Cam is the most accurate QB out there fine, most analysts and people who are objective have come to the same conclusion; his accuracy comes and goes.
