Shouldn't you be shitposting about politics instead of talking poo about West Virginia?

Your shorts are waaaay too tight there CCS.

Apologies to anyone from WVA who (mistakenly) thought I was downing them directly.  The point of the post was to show that this is not a big time event on the tour and the competition is very limited and yet, Tiger is still not righting his ship, but getting all the pub, as usual.

This is a Tiger is done thread after all

He's getting publicity still because individuals like yourself still can't help yourselves from running to talk about him, even though you apparently don't like him.

ESPN would spend 4 mins of their 4 min, 15 second golf headline talking about Tiger hit this shot, Tiger went to his knees after missing this putt, Tiger......., then, they'd close it by saying, "he is tied for 32nd", X golfer is leading at -12.  On to tennis.

I understand his popularity, but for the sake of the sport, please report who else showed up

ESPN did the same crap with Farve on his goodbye for 3 years tour and they do the same with Lebron and the NBA

Espn did that in a lot of sports.   Which is why I quit watching ESPN years ago,  except of course when they  are showing a game I want to watch.

It's really not...  it's one of the reasons I'm not a Tiger fan, but it's the thing he controls the least... the fact that the media, particularly ESPN is all over him no matter what.  The other networks are guilty of it too... and yesterday CBS couldn't really do it much because he was finished long before the leaders came out, but I've seen it with Tiger a LOT where they show him too much when he's way, way behind to the detriment of showing the guys that are actually leading.

Perfect example... Billy Haas hit what is arguably the best shot in the history of the PGA, out of the WATER, during a playoff to win a tournament AND the FedEx Cup and ESPN spent all of about 30 seconds on it the next day, yet they'll talk about Tiger for hours when he's out of contention.
