the hatred towards cam

I always knew cam was hated by rival teams , by some fairweatherd panther fans and some fan bases outside the nfc south. With cam making the front headlines over every sports website and all of social media ,the one thing that stands out is how much he is hated by other fan bases.  it is perfectly understandable that a rival would hate cam thats a given but the people i argued with the past couple days did not come from a fan base in the nfc south. i have argued with 49er fans , eagles fans , giants fans , patriots fans and seahawks fans to name a few.

While arguing with these people i noticed a trend , that trend is they all said the same  simple minded bs .   " he got to the playoffs because of a 7 and 8 -1 record" , " he has one playoff win against a 3rd string qb" , " he over throws his receivers", " he has a losing record" , " he only wins because of his defense" " he never won a superbowl and never will"

The others go the more personal route calling cam a thug , calling him a cry baby with a towel over his head (when michael jordon did the same thing), hating on him for show boating   after a first down and touchdown. these people are brainwashed by the sports media and most likely had their mind set on cam before he played a down in the nfl.

There is a huge double standard when it comes to cam , cam lead us to a playoff win vs the cardinals and they gets no credit , media makes excuses why we won .  wilson throws 4 intos and wins because of that crazy defense and he gets praises . Cam got slaughtered by the media after the seattle game , while rodgers didn't get any slack towards him when he played much worse .

Another thing that drives me crazy is the cam vs russell wilson debate.

 

RUSELL WILSONS WEAPONS ;wr. doug baldwin , jermaine kearse , ricardo lockett , paul richardson. while he doesnt have a true # 1 you can argue all of them would be solid #2s and they are all deep threats

rb marshawn lynch possibly the best rb in the nfl.

offensive line – pretty solid wilson gets time in the pocket

CAM NEWTON. wr kelvin benjamin , jerricho cotchery, philly brown , brenton bersin ( yes cam has a true #1 but cotchery isnt no #2, philly brown was an undrafted rookie that was injured most of the year , brenton bersin was a wr that was undrafted off of the practice squad of 2013.

rb. jonathan stewart , dangelo williams . both injured multiple times , dangelo not the same rb as he once was.

offensive line – was the worst offensive line up into week 14 when they changed personal .

DEFENSE
seattle best defense , panthers top 10

I know alot of you are simple minded out here but what would russell wilson have done if he was given the weapons and offensive line cam had ? he would do nothing!!!!

on the other hand give cam Russell wilsons offensive line and weapons with a strong rb like marshawn lynch and he will dominate everyone.

Cam is the entire panthers offense russell wilson is just a game manager that benefits from marshawn lynch .

you all are just brain washed on the media on how good wilson is when in reality they were a playoff team with tavvares jackson and you are brain washed into hating cam because you dont accept his swag of putting a towel over his head and showboating when he scores a touchdown.

Cam 3127 yds 23 touchdowns . wilson 3475 yards 26 touchdowns

cam was also out for 2 games and was around 70% all season with his messed up ankle, broken ribs and injured back from car accident.

Russell wilson only had 3 more touchdowns and 348 more passing yards then cam when cam missed 2 games and wilson had much better weapons. so yall can keep hating and being simple minded.

CAM IS BETTER THEN RUSSELL WILSON.

People dont want to give cam any credit and they are sleeping on him and the panthers we will let them sleep because they will find out the hard way. keep pounding

It's been like this since he started tearing sh*t up at Auburn, man. When a player isn't on a person's favorite team, and he's really good AND really successful AND really confident, people start hating.

Cam is one of, if not THE most polarizing player in the NFL. People love to love him, love to hate him, but most of all people love to talk about him. He's a star in every aspect. The only other player in the NFL IMO that compares to him in that aspect is Tom Brady.

Even if we win the Super Bowl this year, people will complain that we played a weak schedule and say our defense carried the team. Peyton played the same schedule when he won his ring and no one gives him grief about it, but they will if Cam wins his ring this year.

I think it is a hatred for the fact he plays for such a small market team like the panthers. IF he was on any other team, say the cowboys, espn and the like would be all over him. Most of the fairweather fans of pro football would be positive about him,than negative. why? because more people would tune in to watch monday night football with the cowboys rather than our lovely team. They are jealous of what they don't have.  The carolina panthers have an ugly stepsister type relationship with media and fairweather pro football fans in general. Just look around on the internet and hear what other states think of our state/team.

What is so annoying is discussing Cam with someone and all they can bring up is his so called "immaturity", "he wears a towel on his head", or he is a "thug".

If that is any of the above is brought into the discussion I usually just find a quick way to stop talking with that person. Their mind is usually made up, and they likely will never like Cam just because of his skin color.

​i agree , like cam panthers get no respect . i even remember when we were on that win streak in 2013 people were saying we played nobody up until we beat new england then they made even more excuses
