Who is going to get paid more?

Since this thread basically went down the gutter, I'll save it by making a better question out of the thread title...

Who is going to get paid more? Wilson or Luck?

Andrew Luck is getting more.  I actually don't think it'll be close.  Luck straight up carries an otherwise pretty mediocre team to the playoffs every year (albeit in a WEAK ass division).  Wilson plays on one of the most talented rosters in the NFL with an amazing defense.  A defense that carried them to the Superbowl in 2013 and got them close to another one in 2014.  Wilson will play hardball and say "OMG I have a Superbowl ring I should be paid more than any other QB getting an extension right now" but his numbers are closer to Cam's so I expect him to get a contract comparable to Newton's, whereas Luck will probably be the highest paid QB in the NFL.

I imagine Luke will be paid close to what JJ Watt makes.  There's no QUESTION he will be the top paid MLB in the game, maybe the top paid defensive player.

No sir.

MLB's just aren't as valuable.

He will be the top MLB, but probably not the top LB, at least not for long, 34 OLB's get PAID.

Luke is humble enough that he won't ask to be the highiest paid mlb in the game, even though he deserves to be. Won't be more than cam's contract.

You are correct, he won't ask, his agent will.

If you are an agent, and you have the best player at his position as one of your clients, you better get him paid the highest at his position.  Either that, or you won't have a ton of clients going forward.

If Luke gets paid what JJ Watt got paid my "Gettleman for President" campaign will come to a sudden stop.  LB's that don't get sacks don't make anywhere near that much money.  Willis was then highest paid non-pass rushing LB before he retired at just over 10 million a year.  Luke might get to 12 million, at the most.  Anything over that he should kiss is agents ass and help adjust Dave's shorts before every practice.  He will probably get somewhere in the 11 million range but that's just a guess.

Correct. But also it is not entirely impossible for a player to tell their agent. "Hey, i really like it here and i don't need to be the highest paid at my position".

For a player on their 3rd contract, with a top tier team, (Tom Brady) I can see that.  But not your first big one.

I really don't strike Luke as the Money Hungry Type, Meaning he wont leave us because someone pays him more. I do however, think he should be getting decently paid. I should have remembered that QBs are the Highest Paid Position, I wasn't thinking at that point.

However,  #59 should be getting a pretty penny. Hopefully, he doesn't go for the money.
